This week I’m reading Masterful Marketing, by Alan Weiss and Lisa Larter. One of the key messages around getting exposure for your brand is consistency in posting. Like everything else worth getting in life, consistency matters, but it isn’t worth a thing without this:
CLARITY
Unless you know exactly who you are, exactly who your audience is and exactly where they are, your consistency isn’t worth a thing. Anytime you show up as a person and as a leader, people need to see the real you, doing real you things and speaking, behaving and looking like you are who you say you are.
If you’re constantly trying to emulate someone else’s techniques, thinking that that’s how you’ll get ahead, think again. It’s more likely you’ll end up someplace you never intended to be.
First, get clear.
Then, get consistent.
